Crystal Palace must reject PSG’s £100m bid and retain this exciting 26-year-old ace at all costs – Agreed?

Why Crystal Palace should keep hold of Wilfried Zaha this season

According to a report from the Daily Mirror, Paris Saint-Germain are plotting a staggering £100million swoop form Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha as a replacement for Neymar.

With the European transfer window shutting in just eight days’ time, the French champions are preparing to send a team of delegates to London to discuss a deal with Crystal Palace, with a £100 million package set to be offered to the Eagles.

Although they acknowledge Neymar is virtually irreplaceable, Thomas Tuchel’s side believe Wilfried Zaha has the flair and ability to excite the Parc des Princes faithful, the report adds.

However, the south Londoners must fight tooth and nail again to keep hold of their prized asset with PSG suddenly emerging as potential suitors.

It would be tough for Palace to snub any offer that meets their £100m valuation for Zaha, but Roy Hodgson has to do everything to retain his services.

Zaha has undoubtedly been the Eagles’ best players for the last few seasons. He has played a very crucial role in helping the south London outfit maintain their top-flight status.

The Ivorian scored 10 goals and added five assists in the Premier League last season, but has yet to find the target in the 2019-20 campaign. However, he did help Hodgson’s men pull off a shock 2-1 over Manchester United on Sunday at Old Trafford.

The 26-year-old has established himself as one of the most dangerous forwards in the Premier League in recent seasons. He has the pace, skill and trickery to wreak havoc against any opposition and on his day, he is simply unplayable.

Although Zaha endured a disastrous spell at Manchester United, he has now grown into a top player.

But Palace shouldn’t entertain a sale at this stage of the season, even if PSG meet their valuation. Zaha is their most important player and with the English summer transfer now closed, Hodgson won’t be able to replace his star forward.

Verdict

Without Zaha Palace could turn into a relegation candidate very quickly, so Hodgson and co. must do everything to their powers to keep hold of the Ivorian at least for another season.
