Crystal Palace wouldn’t feel the pinch of Wan-Bissaka’s potential departure if they sign this Norwich star

Crystal Palace opinion: The Eagles should sign Max Aarons

According to English news outlet Norwich Evening News, Crystal Palace have shortlisted Norwich City star Max Aarons as their top replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The Eagles star has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United over the last week and that has seen manager Roy Hodgson start looking for a replacement.

It does give the Eagles a few issues but it’s not one that the club cannot solve, as there are plenty of fish in the sea. While that may be a clichéd saying, it’s clichéd cause it is true and the same thing applies right here, as Max Aarons is arguably the best man for the job.

The 19-year-old has had a fantastic season with Norwich City and that proved to simply increase his value. He finished the season playing all but five games so far for the Championship side.

The only reasons Aaron missed the opening five games was because Farke persisted with David Marshall and Ivo Pinto, before eventually selecting Max Aarons. Both manager and player haven’t looked back, with the 19-year-old Englishman playing a crucial part in Norwich City’s rise.

This has seen Aaron’s value shoot into the stratosphere, with reports the report stating that any transfer fee would be higher than £20million. The 19-year-old has been defensively sound for Norwich City, which is one of the many reasons why Aarons has replaced Ivo Pinto at right-back for the Canaries.

The personification of the modern full-back, Max Aarons has proven that he can be a master at the offensive as well as the defence. Sure, both areas need improvement but given that he’s only 19 years old, Aarons has a lot of time on his side.

In many ways, he is just like Aaron Wan-Bissaka, although the 21-year-old does have Premier League experience under his belt. That has made a massive difference to his style of play. And whether or not Palace does make the move, with Norwich City promoted, Aarons will get the chance to add that to his locker.

Playing in the English top-tier changes a player. But given Max Aaron’s mentality and willpower, the 19-year-old should make the change quite easily.

Conclusion

Max Aarons is a very talented full-back and if Crystal Palace really want to replace the 21-year-old Aaron Wan-Bissaka, they cannot go wrong with the 19-year-old Norwich City man. With time, he has the potential to become a really good right-back and that is what Crystal Palace need.
