Croatian Club Dinamo Zagreb Sacked Its Coach For Stealing Credit Card

Jozo Gaspar

Former Croatian international Jozo Gaspar became a laughing stock in his home country earlier this week, when he was dismissed from his position as manager of Zagreb Precko for the strangest of reasons.

The team is yet to announce the reason behind Gaspar’s sacking officially, but according to the dailymail and rumours from the Crotian media speculates that Gaspar stole a player’s credit card from a rival team’s ( FC Sparta Elektra) dressing room and proceeded to go on a spending spree – where he bought out a shop’s entire supply of Jagermeister. In total he bought 36 bottles. He moved on to another shop to attempt to buy more Jagermeister, but the card was maxed out and he was arrested shortly after.

Josip Gašpar played as much as 420 times for Zagreb and was regarded as one of the greatest Croatian footballer of all time.

Sometimes you just have to sit and wonder what goes through someone’s head to make them do something like this.
