Could Manchester United Snap Up This £20 Million Dutch Ace As Nani Replacement?

With a magnificent attacking line-up that Manchester United and Sir Alex Ferguson has they do not have the strong back line or the midfield that will do justice to its forwards. With the league’s top two scorers on board and a goal poacher in the form of Javier Hernandez, Ferguson is scouting his options to add to his Arsenal.

One place that needs to be sorted out quickly is the winger position. With an inconsistent Wing attack from Young and Valencia and an ageing Ryan Giggs, United’s wing play does not look as it used to be and they depend more from the creative work of Rooney and Van Persie.

With the imminent exit of Nani insight Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has started to review options for his replacement. Arsenal’s Theo Walcott has been linked with a shocking move to Old Trafford and there are various other players including Crystal palace’s youth sensation Wilfred Zaha touted to replace the Portuguese Winger. But what little knows is the Ferguson’s scouting missions outside England. The Scottish manager has sent his brother Martin to the Nou Camp in order to scout Ola John in action  against Barcelona, and the United manager is said to be setting up further  scouting missions to find out more about the winger.

Though Nani has not hinted to move out of Manchester he has welcomed a move out of England as Italian giants Juventus are trying to snap up the winger. This move seems very much on the cards as Nani has insisted several times that he may not go to another club in Epl.

Ola John, 20, joined Benfica from Dutch club Twente this summer after an impressive stint with them and though he struggled at his initial weeks in Portugal the Dutch ace has picked up form and has been tremedous over the past few weeks. Before joining Benfica, John had made 69  appearances for Twente, scoring 10 goals and assisting 23 in all competitions.

Ola John is expected to cost Manchester United around £15-20 million. Sir Alex Ferguson should be willing to pay such an amount for the Ola John, mainly because Benfica did buy the youngster this summer and with the potential he is showing, any club would want to make profit.  £20 would be hard to resist for the Portuguese club.

The arrival of Ola John will increase completion in Manchester United’s first team as the Dutchman will have to fight over playing opportunities with Luis Antonio Valencia, Ashley Young, Shinji Kagawa and Danny Welbeck.
