Bilbao 1-1 SD Eibar

If 86 is not enough? Add two more to the tally. The Argentinian superstar made sure Barca are in a safe position to make it to the Quarter finals with the return leg to be played at Camp Nou on December 18th.  Messi opened the scoring with just 11 minutes on the clock with David Villa being instrumental with an assist. Though Cardoba made efforts to improve their game they were not able to break to the defense of the Catalans and inevitable the second goal came for Barca when Messi received a cross from Alexis Sanchez to beat Saizar and score his 21st double of 2012 in the 74th minute.
Barcelona will have a 2-0 first-leg lead when they host Cordoba later this month.
Highlights from the game:

Real Madrid and Jose Mourinho has to do some serious thinking when they host Celta Vigo in the return leg. With the league almost out of reach, Champions league and cup competitions are the only the chance of winning silver ware for Mourinho this season. And a 2-0 defeat away to Celta was only saved by the brilliance of Cristiano Ronaldo who pulled one back for Madrid at the very drag end of the match. The 2011 winners, struggled against a well-drilled Celta side in rain-lashed Galicia and fell behind when Mario Bermejo fired between reserve goalkeeper Antonio Adan’s legs from a narrow angle in the 56th minute.

And 22 minutes later Celta’s pressure forced the capital club to cough up position and Cristian Bustos took advantage, driving forward with the ball and then smashing a brilliant strike from outside the box into the far top corner.
