Premier League outfit Liverpool have recently sent their officials to watch the game between Oxford United and Portsmouth, as per claims. On the other hand, it was being confirmed by officials from Portsmouth that apart from the Reds, a number of other clubs have been present at their games too this term, with the spotlight being on young striker Conor Chaplin.
According to The News, it has been further revealed that the Merseyside club had particularly sent their scouts to attended Portsmouth’s away draw with Oxford to monitor the 18-year-old superstar. The young forward has caught the attention of many big teams for his performances this season, including the Merseyside outfit as well, who look keen on bringing him to Anfield.
The 18-year-old superstar has scored a total of five goals in his first eighteen games for the club, due to which he was offered a long term deal. Despite that, Liverpool will target the forward and with the requirement of adding more home-grown stars to their squad, it seems that the club might push for a deal to go through.
