Representatives of Merseyside club Liverpool are all set to meet with officials from Serie A oufit Fiorentina, in order to discuss a potential summer move for Italian forward Fabio Borini. According to the Gazzetta dello Sport of Italy, La Viola will be looking to complete a double deal for the Reds’ star and Chelsea’s Mohamed Salah as well, by the end of the current week.
The Premier League outfit are looking to get a deal done as soon as possible, with manager Brendan Rodgers already having secured the services of Christian Benteke some time ago.
TalkSPORT further added that the Italian club had sent their representatives to England as well, to get a deal done for Borini mainly, after giving up on his compatriot Mario Balotelli.
The 24 year old forward spent a season on loan with AS Roma previously, scoring his best tally of 10 goals, which proved that Borini is far more effective in Italy than in England, suggesting that the Kop boss will be looking to cash in on him as soon as possible.
