Leicester City returned to winning ways against Huddersfield Town last weekend and the Foxes now turn their attention to the midweek League Cup clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Claude Puel’s have looked confident going forward this season and have also looked solid at the back. The Foxes rarely give away goals and mostly concede against the big sides.
Leicester’s gaffer does have a very potent attack at his disposal and that just might be the key to unlocking a sturdy Wolves defence. The Leicester attackers are clinical in the final third and if Nuno Espirito Santo’s men don’t approach the game with caution, the match could be long lost.
On the other hand, Wolves are not to be taken lightly as well. The newcomers are one of the surprise packages this season and are on the back of a thrilling 1-1 draw against Manchester United. They also came away with a point against Champions Manchester City. Wolves have looked solid at the back so far, conceding a total of just 6 goals.
Claude Puel needs to come up with a game plan to outclass a cohesive Wolves midfield. Though they have scored just 6 goals compared to the Foxes’ 10, the newcomers tend to create an ample number of opportunities going forward.
Whichever team shows up tonight will walk away with the win. Both Leicester and Wolves are on 9 points in the league and have shown similar form as well. Progress in a domestic cup competition is always a welcome one and an exciting clash awaits us for sure.
