Leeds United returned to winning ways against Hull City in midweek after picking up a draw against Sheffield Wednesday last weekend. The Peacocks returned to the top of the table, courtesy of the win against the Tigers.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side now come up against a Brentford team that is winless in its last three games. After making a superb start to the season, Dean Smith’s men have slightly fallen off the track and Leeds will definitely be waiting to capitalise on the mistakes.
The Peacocks need to be wary of the potent threat of Neal Maupay, who currently tops the goalscoring charts with 9 goals in as many games. Leeds have shown defensive resilience, conceding just 8 goals this season but they have been a little fragile at the back over the last few weeks.
Brentford will be definitely going for a win at Elland Road in order to keep pace at the top of the table, but Marcelo Bielsa’s supreme tactics should provide them with the opportunities to initiate counter-attacks.
An early kick-off between two superb teams this season will definitely prove to be an exciting clash. Though Brentford are not in the best of forms at the moment, Leeds United are the team to beat and Dean Smith will surely take the game to the Peacocks.
