Confirmed: Chelsea Receive Bid From German Club To Sign Defender

Many in the media and the football world expected a major exodus from Chelsea in the summer. Mostly the big names have been called out but there could be some fringe Chelsea players who end up leaving Stamford Bridge instead.

The 20-year-old player, Andreas Christensen,  joined Chelsea in 2014 from Brondby and was on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach. He impressed the German club enough and now looks like the club is gunning for the youngster. Bild has reported that Gladbach has placed a bid of £15.1 million for the player to sign him permanently.

The report further states that while the initial bid may not be enough, the Blues may be pursued to sell the Danish player for £18 million with a buyback clause. The German club has already secured Christensen’s signature for the upcoming season for a loan move but now are interested in signing him on a more concrete deal.
