Arsenal player Mikel Arteta will be heading to the Gunner’s arch rivals as a step into the next part of his career. The Spaniard has played his last game with the Gunners and will now be heading to Manchester City as a coach under City manager Pep Guardiola.
The player’s form has not been up to the standard this season with his age being the main factor. Further with coaching badges at Arsenal it seems like a huge possibility for the player to turn into a coach even though there were offers to play for many clubs so far.
The move for the player has been an expected event since Guardiola moved to City and as of now the recent news states that the deal is already done with.
In the midst of all this it is still unsure whether Arsene Wenger offered the player a coaching role at the club.
According to the Daily Mail (Cited by Marca), there is only a 1% chance that Arteta will remain active as a player in Manchester, having now completed a two-year long coaching course.
