The Karim Benzema to Arsenal saga is slowly fading away after the French international made his intentions known to the world that he will not be moving to the Emirates this summer. The Gunners are in need of yet another striker after they were held to a goalless draw against Liverpool at home at the weekend. Arsene Wenger knows that his side need a world-class striker and is looking to sign one before the transfer window closes on 1st September.
Also, “ITK” Claude was interviewed after the 0-0 draw against the Reds and asked what he thought was lacking in the Arsenal squad. In his interview, he stated that it was confirmed that Benzema would not be likely to move to north London, but his close sources revealed that Wenger’s side are desperate to confirm the signing of two players from one single club.
Though, he did not reveal the name of the players or the club, due to the nature of his close friendship, he said a deal was on the cards and that the players were definitely “world-class”.
