Looking back to the time when the summer transfer window was still open, particularly 27th August, Manchester United were still keen on adding a high-quality player to their squad. There were speculations in the media suggesting that the Red Devils had made a bid in excess of €40m to bring Lazio’s Felipe Anderson to Old Trafford.
The Premier League giants had enough cash to spend on a well-reputed talent, yet did not push through for a deal.

The Italian media outlet added that though Louis van Gaal’s were keeping tabs on him ‘for some time’, they never made an official bid for Anderson in the summer transfer window. The Manchester based side also sent their officials to scout the player recently in the Serie A side’s game against Leverkusen in the Champions League Qualifying Round, yet still no bid was made.
However, it seems there is still hope for the midfield superstar if he can replicate last season’s form and impress the Dutch manager this term.
