Claude Puel to make 7 changes – Strongest 4-2-3-1 Leicester XI to face Wolves

Predicted Leicester City line-up to face Wolves in the League Cup

It was another strong performance from Leicester City as the Foxes beat Huddersfield Town 3-1 at the King Power Stadium. Jamie Vardy returned just in time to hand the Foxes another win by scoring the third and final goal of the game.

Manager Claude Puel will now turn his attention to the midweek clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the League Cup. Wolves have looked confident and solid at the back so far and it will certainly prove to be an exciting clash.

Team News

Claude Puel has no new injury problems to worry about at the moment. The manager has a fully fit and firing squad to select for this game. He has also been boosted by the return of talisman Jamie Vardy, although the striker could be rested for this game.

Probable Leicester City XI

Manager: Claude Puel

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Danny Ward (GK)

Ward will receive a start for this game. The former Liverpool goalkeeper is more than talented to make a name under Puel.

Ricardo Pereira (RB)

The new signing was rested for the clash against Huddersfield Town and will return to the fold for this one. His raids down the flank will be massive.

Jonny Evans (CB)

Wes Morgan is still not available, which means Evans will continue to feature.

Harry Maguire (CB)

Maguire is more than capable of playing multiple games in a week. He played every single league game for the Foxes last season.

Christian Fuchs (LB)

Chilwell’s rise to prominence has seen Fuchs lose out on his place in the squad. But the Austrian should start this one at left-back.

Wilfred Ndidi (RCM)

Ndidi’s defensive running and work rate need to be proper against the Wolves. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men like to build from the midfield and Ndidi will be in charge of cutting them off.

Wilfried Ndidi

Adrien Silva (LCM)

Silva is capable of picking the pass in the final third and seamlessly distribute the ball in the midfield. He should partner Ndidi in central midfield.

Rachid Ghezzal (RAM)

The Algerian was taken off at half-time and should return for this game. He will be aiming to wreak havoc against the Wolves.

Marc Albrighton (CAM)

Albrighton will be the main source of supply for the Foxes in this game. He will start ahead of Kelechi Iheanacho.

Demarai Gray (LAM)

Gray has reached new heights this season after impressing the manager. James Maddison deserves a rest and Gray should start in his place.

Shinji Okazaki (ST)

The Japanese international is always a threat inside the box. Okazaki could nick one in against the Wolves.
