Christiansen To Make 7 Changes – Predicted 4-2-3-1 Leeds United Line-Up To Face Nottingham Forest

Predicted Leeds United Lineup To Face Nottingham Forest In EFL Championship

Leeds United will take on Mark Warburton’s Nottingham Forest in the fifth round of fixtures of the EFL Championship, on Saturday, at the City Ground.

The Whites have started the new season strongly under new manager Thomas Christiansen and currently sit 5th in the Championship table, with 8 points from 4 games. Having played two goalless draws consecutively, they are back to winning ways, having first defeated Sunderland 2-0 in the league, before thrashing Newport County 5-1 in the second round of the EFL Cup. The manager will be hoping to extend the winning run against the Reds on Saturday.

Team News

Striker Caleb Ekuban and playmaker Pablo Hernandez are unlikely to be available for selection, after being taken off injured in last weekend’s win over Sunderland. Defenders Matthew Pennington and Gaetano Berardi remain absent. Vurnon Anita picked up an injury against Newport County and may miss out.

Manager: Thomas Christiansen

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Felix Wiedwald (GK)

The German was left out of the playing XI in Tuesday’s game against Newport County, but should return in the place of Robert Green.

Luke Ayling (RB)

The 25-year old will return to his more natural right-back position on Saturday, after playing as a centre-half in the cup tie.

Luke Ayling

Pontus Jansson (CB)

The Swede was rested for the cup tie on Tuesday, but should return to the playing XI against Nottingham Forest.

Liam Cooper (CB)

The captain was another who did not feature against Newport County, but is very much likely to partner Jansson on Saturday, with Conor Shaughnessy dropping out.

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson (LB)

With Anita and Berardi both likely to be unavailable, the Manchester United loanee should get the nod on Saturday.

Eunan O’Kane (CM)

The Irishman has started off the new season on top form and has been one of Whites’ best players so far. Should be reinstated to the starting XI.

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson

Kalvin Phillips (CM)

The youngster too has been performing admirably this campaign and should partner O’Kane in the middle of the park against Forest.

Ezgjan Alioski (RW)

The Macedonian winger has settled in nicely with his new team and has shown great signs of developing into a key player. Should be given a starting berth on the right-hand side.

Samu Saiz (CAM)

The Spanish summer signing has established himself as a fan favourite already, with some starring displays. Scored as a sub on Tuesday and should start behind the striker on Saturday.

Kemar Roofe

Stuart Dallas (LW)

With Pablo Hernandez set to miss out, Stuart Dallas should continue to be involved from the start at the City Ground on Saturday.

Kemar Roofe (ST)

With Chris Wood gone and Ekuban injured, there was concern in the Leeds’ camp. However, Kemar Roofe dispelled all the nerves with a hat-trick on Tuesday. Should lead the line against the Reds.
