Christiansen to make 3 changes – Predicted 4-2-3-1 Leeds United lineup To Face Millwall

Predicted Leeds United lineup to face Millwall In The EFL Championship

Leeds United will look to get back to winning ways when they clash against Millwall FC at the Elland Road on Saturday.

Thomas Christiansen’s men are winless in their last four fixtures across all competitions, three of which have been defeats to Birmingham City, Newport County (FA Cup) and Ipswich Town. The manager will be hoping to get things back on track as he looks to achieve a place in the top-6 of the EFL Championship.

Team News

Midfielder Eunan O’Kane is ruled out of the game, as he will serve a three-match ban following his red card in the loss to Ipswich.

The Whites will also have to make do without star playmaker Samu Saiz, who is currently serving a six-game suspension. Right-back Luke Ayling is also ruled out, while winger Pawel Cibicki is a doubt after he was taken off injured against Ipswich.

Here’s how the Whites could take the field against the Lions this weekend:

Manager: Thomas Christiansen

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Felix Wiedwald (GK)

The German has reclaimed the No.1 spot from Andy Lonergan and should keep his place in the playing XI on Saturday.

Gaetano Berardi (RB)

With Luke Ayling out for the season, Swiss full-back Gaetano Berardi will have to fill in at right-back against Millwall.

Pontus Jansson (CB)

The giant Swedish international is a permanent fixture in the backline for the Whites. That is unlikely to change for the weekend.

Pontus Jansson of Leeds United.

Liam Cooper (CB)

Club captain Liam Cooper will start alongside Jansson in the heart of the defence. Will be keen to help his side keep a clean sheet.

Laurens De Bock (LB)

The Belgian arrived only earlier this month and could make his debut for his new side at the Elland Road on Saturday.

Kalvin Phillips (CM)

The young Englishman will keep his place in the middle of the pitch for the crucial tie against Millwall.

Ronaldo Vieira (CM)

Having missed the last four games for the Yorkshire based outfit due to injury, the youngster could be back in contention for selection and should start in place of the suspended Eunan O’Kane.

Hadi Sacko (RW)

With Pawel Cibicki unlikely to be involved, the man who replaced him from the bench last week, Hadi Sacko, could be in line for a rare start.

Pablo Hernandez

Pablo Hernandez (CAM)

With Samu Saiz unavailable, Pablo Hernandez should occupy the No.10 spot for the Whites and will have to carry the creative burden for his side.

Gjanni Alioski (LW)

On the left-hand side, it should be Macedonian winger Gjanni Alioski. Needs to shoulder more responsibilities in the absence of Saiz.

Kemar Roofe (ST)

Leading the line for Leeds against Millwall on Saturday should be Kemar Roofe. The former Oxford United man offers some dynamism at the top and has been preferred over Pierre-Michel Lasogga. Should stay the same this weekend.
