Christiansen To Make 1 Big Change – Predicted 4-2-3-1 Leeds United Line-Up To Face Norwich

Predicted Leeds United Line-up To Face Norwich City In The EFL Championship

Behind the scenes, Leeds are working hard to change their squad around yet again in January as they look to avoid the late season collapse which saw them miss out on playoff football last season.

This time around, they were rather hoping for an automatic promotion spot and that remains a slim possibility, though they’ll need to win, what looks like a tasty game against Norwich City, to keep their confidence up. To be fair though, they are playing well now.

Caleb Ekuban is out injured and should be replaced by Paweł Cibicki.

For what it’s worth, I think Leeds will win this one and they may do it with an unchanged line-up. Thomas Christiansen should go with his usual 4-2-3-1 formation here.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Thomas Christiansen

GK – Felix Wiedwald

Back in the side, more confident and now behind a better outfield ten. Wiedwald should start against Norwich.

RB – Luke Ayling

Improving all the while and is an important part of this Leeds side for a while now. Ayling’s tireless running up and down the right is important both defensively and offensively.

CB – Pontus Jansson

Performing like a Premier League player you would argue. Needs to stay fit to give Leeds a chance of promotion.

CB – Liam Cooper

Providing balance to what is now a settled central defensive partnership with Jansson.

Kalvin Phillips

LB – Gaetano Berardi

Likely to be replaced in this position come January. For now though, he at least remains reliable and is likely to start here.

CM – Kalvin Phillips

Now that the dust has settled on the first half of this season, it seems universally agreed that Phillips and Vieira are the best two in this position.

CM – Ronaldo Vieira

Didn’t start the season in favour with Christiansen but he seems settled in the role once again now.

RW – Egzijan Alioski

In great form earlier in the campaign and still remains a danger; probably due a goal so watch out for that.

CAM – Samuel Saiz

The popular Spaniard keeps Hernandez out of this position and rightly so. He is still improving and, like Alioski, is due another purple patch in front of goal. So Leeds appear full of danger at the moment.

Kemar Roofe

LW – Kemar Roofe

Probably needs to play here and netted a hat-trick at QPR last time out, which pretty much guarantees his place in the side.

ST – Paweł Cibicki

With Ekuban out injured, Paweł Cibicki should get to start up front for Leeds United.
