Chicharito Again? 3 Players Manchester United Should Recall From Loan Next Season

Manchester United are all set to return to the Champions League, at least they will feature in Europe in some capacity. They are fourth in the League standings at the moment and barring a spectacular collapse, they should make it to European competition come the start of next season. Manchester United might have sent a lot of players out on loan, but they will need to have quite a few players back in their squad if they are to challenge on more fronts next season. They were knocked out of the first round in the FA Cup and League Cup which allowed United to survive the season with fewer players since they didn’t have to play multiple games in a week, with that set to change next season, we look at 3 players who United should recall from loan and give them a run out in their team.

Chicharito

Jesse Lingard

Considered as one of the hottest English youngsters, Lingard has been on loan Derby County and has been responsible or partly for his team’s run in the Championship where he could help them qualify for the Premier League. Lingard is an England U21 international and plays in an attacking midfielder’s role.

He would fit into United perfectly and could let Rooney play in a forward role rather than playing him in midfield. Lingard might not start most games but he coming back to the team could help both parties.

Javier Hernandez

A striker who was the golden boy in the eyes of Sir Alex Ferguson, Chicharito was known for his position and finishing ability in the box. Sadly he was deemed to be surplus to requirements by Van Gaal and wasn’t just shipped to any other club, he was sent out on loan to Real Madrid. He hasn’t really set the goal scoring charts on fire in Madrid but has scored 5 goals in the limited appearances he has had.

Manchester United could be without Van Persie and Falcao at the end of the season and having an established goal scorer with Premier League experience would be great for the club. Plus, he is only 26 years old and has time on his side to become better at his craft.

Nani

While many might have predicted the end of Nani at the start of this season, the winger has somewhat fixed his reputation when playing for his old club Sporting Lisbon. Nani had a slow start in his return but has slowly become an integral clog of the team and has shown glimpses of the creative and attacking flair he was so well known for during his time at Manchester United.

Adnan Januzaj, Angel Di Maria, and Ashley Young haven’t done much this season and having someone like Nani to play in games and produce some quality crosses or dribbling down the line might provide the Manchester United strikers with more chance to score. He has scored 11 times for Lisbon this season which is more than the combined goals he scored in the last two seasons at Manchester United.
