Champions of England, Chelsea, have not had much luck in signing a new centre-back in the summer transfer window, with Everton rejecting all bids made for England international John Stones. At the end of it all, the Blues had to settle for Nantes’ Papy Djilobodji, as they failed to sign another target from Ligue 1.
Jose Mourinho’s side had also made a bid to sign Brazilian Marquinhos, as per claims from Foot365 in France, which Paris Saint-Germain did not accept, as deadline day approached. A few articles related to the whole story came out, as the west London club’s attempt to bring the 21-year-old superstar to the Premier League failed.
Now, Le10 Sport has further added in an exclusive, stating that the centre-back is unhappy with his situation in Paris.
The youngster had been told by manager Laurent Blanc he would be allowed to leave if he didn’t play much in the first few weeks of the season. Eventually, he has been given barely 10 minutes so far this term, yet Nasser Al-Khelaifi did not entertain a €42m bid from Chelsea, which has frustrated the player even more. If nothing changes soon, the player could push for a move away, with Mourinho keen on reinforcing his defensive line.
