Could Chelsea possibly be back on track? That’s the question numerous football fans are pondering upon after Chelsea’s 1-0 triumph over Norwich this past weekend.  And it would allow the fans a reason to pull their hair off and think about it in their sleep before Chelsea take on Maccabi Tel-Aviv in an important Champions League encounter on Wednesday. After all, there’s not a single team in this world who would fear about Chelsea hitting top form once again.

And the one question that would be troubling Jose Mourinho after that win against Alex Neil’s side is whether to rotate his side or not, considering they’ve got a colossal clash at White Hart Lane coming up next week. And here’s how the Blues may end up lining up when they step out at the Bloomfield Stadium.

GK: Asmir Begovic

The Bosnian has been solid, barring the goals he didn’t have any hand in, and has hardly made any errors this season. Although his defense has let him down on quite a few occasions but the former Stoke City stopper has been compact despite all that.

RB: Branislav Ivanovic

The Serbian, after recovering from his hamstring problem performed just okay against Norwich this past week. It was a mixed bag kind of a performance but can possibly be indicative of him coming back into his own skin. And he will be handed a go against Maccabi, considering the Blues don’t have any other right back in their side.

CB- Kurt Zouma

The Frenchman looked very good against Norwich and is quickly becoming one of the best young defenders in the world. In the absence of Gary Cahill, Zouma has done far better than the English man the chances are that he gets an extended stay in the first team.

CB- John Terry

The seasoned veteran has endured a tough season, but it’s fair to say that he can be exceptional on his day. And Mourinho needs him and playing him such that he can get back to his last seasons’ form makes sense.

LB- Kenedy

Being played way out of position, the Brazilian provided Chelsea a whole new dimension. He was impressive down the left and was a constant threat too. Playing him against Maccabi to see whether he can do well in that position would be something Mourinho would like.

CDM- Ruben Loftus-Cheek

The young man has seen a limited amount of action since making it to the first team and Mourinho may just bench Matic for the English man in this game to keep the Serbian fit for the big Spurs game at the weekend.

CDM- Cesc Fabregas

The season’s been a pathetic struggle and the game at Israel can be an opportunity for him to get back in nick before a crucial game.

RM: Willian

Has arguably been Chelsea’s best player this season and the most ambitious and adventurous one too. Has looked in every single game of theirs and no matter where he’s been played, has looked impressive.

 CAM: Oscar

Needs to get back to his best and has been a bit wayward. Has lacked sharpness and the game could be an opportunity to get something out of it.

LM: Eden Hazard

The Belgian was the best player on the pitch against Norwich and looked very good composed on the ball. It was a convincing performance and looked like we had seen the Old Hazard again. A run out against Maccabi won’t do any harm.

ST- Diego Costa

Has failed to live up to the expectations this season and needs to improve his attitude and play quite a bit. Playing in a game that won’t be too tough to get rid can be a chance to get some goals and slowly mould himself into his real self.
