Chelsea Won’t Budge In Bareclona’s Plans To Sign Defender: Star Set To Remain At Stamford Bridge

Barcelona are letting go of two of their first team defenders in the summer. Mascherano and Dani Alves have been reported ready to leave the Catalan giants in the summer. Their manager Luis Enrique is obviously looking for a defensive replacement and looks like his eyes have fallen on Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta.

According the Daily Mail, Barcelona has already attempted a swoop worth of £13 million but the offer has fallen flat. Atletico Madrid are also said to be interested but Chelsea are not willing to let go of their impressive 26 year old. The player has made 49 appearances for the club last season and the incoming manager Antonio Conte is said to have big plans for the defender.

Barcelona initially attempted to sign Bellerin and after failing to complete that move has taken a shot at Azpilicueta. However since Chelsea are adamant to keep hold of their defender the Blaugrana may have to find someone else.
