Chelsea Winger Backs Teammate by Saying He Lacks Luck

The champions of England completed the signing of Pedro from Barcelona though league rivals Manchester United were desperate to sign him. The buy seemed a superb one, as the Spaniard made the perfect start to life in England with a “Man of the match” performance. Now, the 28-year-old superstar was seen defending everyone at his latest press conference.

Firstly, he spoke to support Gerard Pique against the whistles of unforgiving Spanish fans in Oviedo and then he turned to backing another. Diego Costa is not having the best of times with the Spanish national side at the moment and there were rumours that the Blues’ star might have been dropped from the squad, with trust issues still from previous occasions when he pulled out with injury.

Costa has not performed as per the expectations of some of the fans and was not welcomed in the best way either when he had started playing for Spain though the perception now is a bit kinder.

Despite that Pedro told Spanish newspaper AS, “I think Diego Costa is doing very well here in the selection, the only issue is he’s not having any luck in front of goal. But he creates a lot of space, he gives us solutions, the goals will come. I’m happy with my start at Chelsea. When you have more minutes to play you find another rhythm, and more confidence.
