Chelsea Transfers: Three Players Who Should Leave Stamford Bridge This January

As I write this, Chelsea have already racked up a great 3-0 win over Southampton away from home and have made it look very simple. The Blues are currently third in the Premier League table and the way they have been playing in the past few game weeks, 2014 might just be the year, when Jose Mourinho might bring their lost Premier League Trophy back home to Stamford Bridge. There is no doubt that Chelsea are after a striker and have been linked to Falcao, Lewandowski and Guarin in recent weeks, the London side will also sell some of their players who are on the look out for more gametime. As Mourinho looks to his options come the January Transfer window, which is open currently, we here at Soccersouls  provide the options whom he can allow to leave this winter.

Demba Ba:

JOe Hart's tackle or Demba Ba's dive?

It’s not a surprise that Chelsea are certainly in the search for a new striker who can bolster their attacking weak links. The Stamford Bridge outfit have been linked to Fredy Guarin of Inter Milan over the past few weeks and the Columbian would definitely find it hard to resist down a move to the Premier League. With neither Torres, Eto’o or Ba finding their striking instincts this season, it looks like Mourinho will be handed enough money to sign a major name in the transfer market.

It has also been reported that Ba might be used as a bait to lure Inter into selling Guarin. This perhaps signals the end of Demba Ba’s career at Stamford Bridge. The former Newcastle man has already fallen down the ranks in the Chelsea squad and would probably be sold this window. Newcastle might want to take their former striker back and so might Arsenal given Wenger’s frugal economics and the search for Olivier Giroud’s back up. But will Mourinho budge and sell to a direct Title rival?
