Why This Chelsea Superstar Would Be A Great Attacking Boost For Jose Mourinho And Manchester United

Manchester United are keen on improving their side after a lot of inconsistency during this first half of the season despite investing a huge amount of money in the summer to face this year’s Premier League and go back to contention.

So, even if they have one of the strongest squads in the world (and probably the most expensive one), the Glazers are more than willing to keep spending a lot of money if that’ll guarantee Mourinho’s success as the boss of the Red Devils, since they can’t afford another subpar year as the ones they’ve had under David Moyes and Louis Van Gaal.

Mourinho has (as usual) had an excuse and a guy to blame for everything that’s happened throughout the year so far, but the clock is ticking and he’s running out of guys to point the finger at, so it’s only natural to think that he may need some new scapegoats to take the blame for his lack of creativity and poor game reading, and he’ll be looking for them during this winter transfer window.

Actually, Manchester United isn’t that bad at all if you take a look at their roster, but for some reason, they haven’t been able to thrive together, so the Portuguese boss would be looking to reinforce almost every single sector of the field when January comes.

One of the sides that needs more treatment according to “The Special One” is the offensive end of the pitch, as the Red Devils have struggled mightily to score goals against defences that aren’t even that great despite having a mostly offensive squad, so they’re probably going to focus their attention in this part of the roster for the time being.

So, apparently Mourinho is looking to bring one of the few guys he trust to Old Trafford, as there have been several reports over the past few days that state that the Portuguese boss is set to create a reunion with Chelsea’s Brazilian star Willian, who was the lone bright spot during that horrendous year for the blues that ended with Mourinho’s premature sacking.

The Brazilian winger hasn’t featured for Antonio Conte’s side since the last October against West Ham, where the blues fell off the League cup and has made only 8 appearances (6 starts) for Chelsea through the year due to several nagging injuries.

On top of that, Victor Moses’s surge and Conte’s trust in Pedro are making it very difficult for the Brazilian to earn some playing time, so it’ll make sense to him to get back with Mou, whom he found the best level of his career.

Willian could really help Manchester United solve those offensive woes, being a pacy game changer with an outstanding dribbling and shooting ability, Mourinho knows exactly how to take the most out of the 28-year-old.

However, it’s very unlikely that Chelsea’s going to help Manchester United improve their side, even despite the alleged 25 million pound offer the Red Devils are set to offer Roman Abramovich and his team.
