Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is pretty much being linked with every player he worked with earlier. Now there has been reports from the Sun that United are plotting a massive £60 million bid for Brazil winger Willian.
However, Chelsea too are preparing a counter measure and are set to offer the player a bumper new deal to keep him at Stamford Bridge. The 27 year old has two years left on his current contract but after setting Stamford Bridge alight last season with his performance, he has caught the eyes of many big suitors.
In spite of a poor season, Willian was clearly the stand-out performer and Chelsea will need him if they want to challenge for the title next season. The final details of the contract renewal are being discussed and United will have to act soon if they want to land their target. The player clearly will not be allowed to leave easily.
