Premier League champions Chelsea are tracking the progress of Red Star Belgrade’s Marko Grujic ahead of a potential move for the midfield superstar, as per claims from Tutto Mercato Web. The Blues are looking to sign the young talented star, as manager Jose Mourinho looks to strengthen his current squad, after a poor start to the new season.
The west London side have been monitoring the progress of the 19-year-old superstar, with their scouts watching the midfielder play in the Serbian SuperLiga. Apart from the English giants, Bundesliga outfit Hamburg were also keen on signing Grujic in the summer, though nothing was confirmed further.
Further, he has also signed a new contract to remain with his present club till 2018, though Chelsea still remain interested. Despite that, there have been speculations in Serbia about the youngster’s future after he was not part of the Red Star’s Europa League qualifying round games against Karat.
