The Blues are in the market to bring in more players into their squad in the summer. While the club is already moving ahead into negotiations with different clubs for the players, it cannot be ignored that most of the players on Chelsea’s radar this time around are chosen by incoming manager Antonio Conte who has 10 years worth experience in the Serie A.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, officials from Serie A club Roma visited Chelsea so as to talk about Chelsea’s defender Branislav Ivanovic. The player signed a new contract with Chelsea in January, however, he is wanted by Roma. Further, Egyptian player Mohamed Salah too was discussed by the representatives of the clubs which included their respective Sporting Directors.
Reports further suggest that talks of deals for Radja Nainggolan and Kostas Manolas too came up, for whom the Blues are ready to spend £28m (€35m) while Walter Sabatini has demanded £36m (€45m). The Blues are further planning to offer youngsters Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Andreas Christensen, on loan to Roma so as to put more weight on the Belgian International’s move to the Stamford Bridge.
