Predicted Chelsea Lineup To Face Everton In The Premier League

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea managed to get back to winning ways last weekend after an embarrassing start to the campaign. They beat Tottenham Hotspur in the previous game and will look to build on the result to make sure that they can defend their title this season. However, it will not get any easier for the Blues, who will welcome Everton to the Bridge this weekend.

The Toffees are fresh from holding off Manchester City at the Etihad and will look to do the same again in London, to try and unsettle the champions.

Team News

Chelsea are now without Gary Cahill, who is still serving a suspension. Eden Hazard will remain the only other injury problem for the club ahead of this tie.

Manager: Antonio Conte

Formation: 3-5-2

GK – Thibaut Courtois

The Belgian shot stopper will not be happy with the start that his back line has made and will hope that they can put in a better performance this time around.

CB – Cesar Azpilicueta

The Spaniard is yet to put in a bad performance for Chelsea in all these years and is one of the first names on the team sheet. He should play as a part of the backline for his side.

CB – Andreas Christensen

The youngster should get a prolonged spell in the side with Conte deciding to use David Luiz in the midfield.

CB – Antonio Rudiger

The newbie for Chelsea, Rudiger is yet to settle in completely and a strong performance in this tie will help him get there easily.

RWB – Victor Moses

The lack of options at right-back for Chelsea should see Conte start Victor Moses yet again at right wing-back, which could be an area Everton might look to exploit.

CM – N’Golo Kante

The French midfielder is indispensable and has only gotten better from the previous season. Will start for sure.

CDM – David Luiz

After a commendable performance against Spurs, Conte should stick with Luiz as the deepest of the midfielders against a decent Everton side.

David Luiz

CM – Tiemoue Bakayoko

One of the best players for Chelsea in the previous game, Bakayoko has already won the fans over and should complete the midfield for his side.

LWB – Marcos Alonso

The man of the match in the previous game, Alonso will hope to put in a similar performance this weekend as well, helping his side to another victory.

SS – Willian

The Brazilian was exceptional at times against Spurs and could be too hot to handle for Everton if he finds his stride early in this game.

ST – Alvaro Morata

The Spanish striker was unable to hit the back of the net last game and will not find it easy against the likes of Jagielka and Keane this weekend.

This is how Chelsea could line up:
