Antonio Conte has been impressed by the young attacker Federico Bernardeschi and his recent form has caught the eye of many top European clubs but reports suggest that Chelsea look to be making a move for the Italian in the summer.

22-year-old Bernardeschi has been on a purple patch of form and even his current manager believes he deserves to play for a club with more ambition. Chelsea are plotting a massive £38 million bid for the Fiorentina front-man who has worked with Antonio Conte before.

Bernardeschi was given his first senior Italian cap by the current Chelsea boss when Conte was managing the Italian national squad.  With seven goals in 14 appearances already this term the starlet has impressed heavily.

Despite being operated as a winger, Chelsea claim to use Bernardeschi as a replacement for Diego Costa should the hit-man leave for Stamford Bridge. After raiding Marcos Alonso from Fiorentina, Conte will be hoping to land Bernardeschi given his age he is likely to flourish playing alongside Eden Hazard, Willian, Fabregas, Pedro and Costa.

According to inside knowledge, Fiorentina have already agreed to cash out Bernardeschi, who boasts an excellent distribution of the ball with comfort on it. Bernardeschi is yet to prove his worth, with the substantial £38 million price tag on offer, but he would certainly add depth and further quality to an already improved Chelsea squad.
