John Stones has been on Chelsea’s radar for a long time. The Everton defender was one of the topmost names in Jose Mourinho’s lit of transfer targets and so far there has been no changes in the player’s status with regards to Blues interest.
Although Mourinho has left the English club and since Guus Hiddink has taken over the reign of the Stamford Bridge, there has been no change in the scenario. Chelsea has so far put up four bids for the player, the latest one of about £38million, has been rejected by Everton. As such the toffees are determined to hold on to the player, the blues too are testing their resolve and are determined to break it.
Reports suggest that Chelsea boss Roman Abramovich has set aside £50million so as to acquire the services of the Everton’s defender.
