Chelsea Or Liverpool: Which Club Will Be A Better Option For This Record Breaker ?

Transfer Opinion

Breaking a record seems to have come easy for Jamie Vardy, the former non-league footballer broke Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record of scoring in 10 consecutive Premier League games last weekend against Manchester United and the tongues are wagging about where he should end up at the end of the season.

Jamie-Vardy-Leicester-City

Vardy is living the dream and seems to be a humble guy who is out there to enjoy his football. His meteoric rise doesn’t seem to have taken it to his head and seems more grounded than you would expect, well his old status updates sure are pretty darn weird and funny but we are talking about what he does on the pitch and that is exceptional, especially this season.

Vardy might be enjoying his football on the pitch, but he surely could do with a big move away from Leicester, one big money move could pretty much seal the deal for such an amazing rise this season. But which club would suit Vardy, Chelsea or Liverpool?

Red or Blue: A tough choice to make

We are speculating here, but a lot of teams would be looking to get his signature, he is electric and with his work rate almost every team could do with such a player. Vardy seems to be playing at 100 miles an hour and this is something that both Liverpool and Chelsea would love to have.

Chelsea might have had a tough season so far and the bigger problem for them is the way their attack hasn’t performed to the levels expected. Last weekend we could have seen the start of the demise of Diego Costa as the Blues started with Eden Hazard as the tip of the attack and Mourinho even stated that was the best performance of the season for Chelsea with the game ending as a draw.

Chelsea need someone who will work hard at the top of the pitch. Diego Costa was doing the same all throughout last season but this season onwards he seems to have regressed into a more street fighter mode rather than being a footballer. Jamie Vardy will not give up and run for lost causes also, that is something which could very well work with Chelsea’s team. Hazard, Oscar, Willian and Fabregas can unlock the defence with a great ball and with Vardy running the channels, like he has done all season; he could make a huge difference for Chelsea. He could even be targeted in January by Mourinho, watch this space.

Liverpool don’t really need another striker in the team but with a lot of injury-related issues, they could do with some cover. Vardy probably would not want to sit on the bench, but his playing style is best suited to the Gegenpressing ways of Jurgen Klopp.

Defending from the front and attacking with real pace and intent is what Liverpool are all about at the moment and Vardy would make an excellent addition to the squad. Vardy would thrive under Klopp’s tutelage as well and that could well end up being a great affair, but we don’t actually see that happen due to the options already available at Anfield.

Vardy would be perfectly suited to Liverpool’s style of play but based on current factors; he could well be the replacement for Diego Costa at Chelsea in January, from one Blue to another.
