Chelsea Latest Including: Galatasaray’s £200,000-A-Week Offer For Terry And A Bid For The Talented Ajax Winger

Viktor Fischer

As rafa Benitez’s time almost ends with Chelsea, he has dropped some hints of who is going to take over the club next season. No prizes for guessing the name, it is the Special One as Rafa would like us to believe. Although Cheslea have one of the best midfield combinations in the Premier League, Jose Mourinho would certainly want to add a couple of players in his team, considering the wear and tear that his players would face once the fixtures pile up. One player, who was linked with a number of major clubs before he finally signed for Ajax, on whom Chelsea are already rumoured to be monitoring is Viktor Fischer.

One of the most talented young prospects around, Fischer has been prolific in the left wing for his club. His goal scoring knack would put even the most reputed strikers to shame. In 23 appearances he has scored 10 goals for his club, a remarkable feat for a left winger who is only 18 years of age.

He has been declared as the Talent of the Year by his club for this season and there is not a single doubt on anyone’s mind that the extents of his talents are not only limited to his club but globally.

It would be a big purchase for Chelsea if they can woo him to Stamford Bridge, especially because he is all of 18 and would boost the reputation of a club which have been often criticised for buying only big stars and not nurturing young talents enough. The English Premier League would also allow Fischer to develop fully and progress as a player.

But there is no reason to believe that Ajax would let go of their young protégé so easily and Chelsea would have to spend quite a sum of money to bring him. But then it is said that what Mourinho wants, Mourinho gets. Will he pull off another magic this time to bring Fischer Chelsea? Only time will tell.

In other news, Big spending Turkish club Galatasaray are all set to put together a bumper package deal to lure John Terry away from the Stamford Bridge.

According to the Daily Mail Galatasaray are planning to take advantage of Terry’s predicament at Chelsea by signing him on a three-year contract worth up to £200,000 a week.

The Turkish giants, who have already signed the likes of Didier Drogba and Wesley Sneijder in January, believe they can convince the Chelsea captain to end his long lasting love affair with the Stamford Bridge faithful and take him to the Turkish league.

Although their trump card is the £30million in wages they will offer him, they hope his increasingly fragile position as a first-team player at Chelsea could tip the balance in Galatasaray’s favour. However, it is up to the defender himself to think about a new challenge after having served the Blues loyally for over 14 years.
