Chelsea And Manchester City Battle It Out For Radamel Falcao

Falcao to premier league rumors has started to swirl around the media for the past couple of weeks.  It is believed that Chelsea are in the hot seat to secure the signing of the Colombian striker. However English Champions Manchester City are also interested in Falcao after their manager Roberto Mancini admitted his interest in the player. This could lead to head to head clash between the big spenders in the next summer.

Falcao ran riot over Chelsea in the European Super Cup final in Monaco two months ago and after that embarrassing night, club owner Roman Abramovich wanted to secure the player despite the huge price tag Falcao has and also after spending nearly 50 million for Torres last season. The latest headlines from Atlético Madrid is that the club would be willing to sell the player if they receive the right amount of money.  The Spanish club’s General Manager Miguel Angel Gil Marin has reported that due to their parlous financial situation, the club would almost certainly be forced to sell their star man should they fail to qualify for the Champions League.

It is certain that Falcao will leave Atlético Madrid at the end of this season but the question of which club remains far from answered. Roberto Mancini, who was left frustrated after losing out to Chelsea over the signature of Belgian midfielder Eden Hazard wants to close the deal for Falcao as soon as possible and with Roman Abramovich determined to sign the Colombian it could be a head to head battle between the two premier league clubs.
