Leicester City are one of the challengers to break into the top six this season.
Brendan Rodgers has a youthful and exciting team under him, and even after selling Harry Maguire, the Foxes look set for a great campaign.
Jamie Vardy, James Maddison, Harvey Barnes and Youri Tielemans are some of the great attacking options the Foxes possess this season.
Their defence has been marshalled well by Caglar Soyuncu while they have a great keeper in Kasper Schmeichel.
The last game for Leicester was a disappointing 1-0 loss to Manchester United. The Foxes should have picked up a point from their trip to Old Trafford, and they next face another top six side in Tottenham.
Leicester host Spurs at the weekend where they can try to beat a top four side, however, Charlie Nicholas doesn’t believe the Foxes are ready to make the step up.
The former Celtic and Arsenal star pinpointed the lack of consistency from the players and their ability to improve further (h/t Sky Sports):
“You feel as though Leicester are one of the teams that can kick on, but when is that going to happen?
“People talk a lot about Harvey Barnes and James Maddison, but when are you going to get that controlled situation from these players? It is only bits and pieces at the moment, which is not enough to threaten the top six.”
The Sky Sports pundit, however, backed the Foxes to beat Tottenham as the away side have their own problems too.
Leicester have done well to get a point at Stamford Bridge and look a decent bet for the top six. The Foxes are currently tied on eight points with a host of clubs and lie in fifth place ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea.
Rodgers has experience of working with a top side with stints at Liverpool and Celtic and is possibly the best man for the job.
