Cenk Tosun interests Qatari side Al Gharafa but Everton fans want other striker to leave
Sky Sports claims that Everton striker Cenk Tosun interests Al Gharafa and the Qatari side will offer a substantial amount for the Turkish forward.
Tosun has fallen down the pecking order at Goodison Park after the arrival of Moise Kean and the Qatari transfer window doesn’t end until September 30.
The 28-year-old Tosun hasn’t featured for the Toffees in the Premier League this season so far, and only bagged three goals in 10 starts in the league last time around.
Tosun did play in the EFL Cup win over Lincoln, and the report adds that the Turk rejected moves back home to fight for a spot at Everton.
Fans don’t want Tosun to leave
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has started a few games this season, but the youngster hasn’t been able to impress regularly for the Toffees.
The 22-year-old Englishman has kept Tosun out of the team and it will be interesting to see if Kean can replace Calvert-Lewin in the starting XI soon. Many Everton fans weren’t keen on losing Tosun, and some even wanted Calvert-Lewin to be the one to leave.
Silva might prefer playing the Englishman, but some fans didn’t agree with the manager’s decision.
