Celtic To Make 3 Major Changes To The Line-up That Could Face Dundee – Team News + Prediction

Predicted Celtic Line-Up To Face Dundee

CelticBrendan Rodgers’ Celtic will take on eighth-placed Dundee at the Dens Park this Sunday in the Scottish Premiership.

The Bhoys will come into the game having been held to a 1-1 draw at home by bitter rivals Rangers but will look to bounce back and get three points from the game. Celtic are certain to win the Premiership title, given that they are miles ahead of the chasing pack. The two clubs have met twice earlier this season, with Celtic emerging triumphant on both occasions.

Team News:

Celtic will be without goalkeeper Dorus de Vries who is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines owing to a foot problem. Midfield mainstay Nir Bitton is also doubtful following an injury-enforced substitution last weekend. Australian Tom Rogic remains the only other absentee for Rodgers for Sunday’s clash.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Craig Gordon (GK)

The undisputed starter in goal. Gordon will look to keep a clean-sheet, having failed to do so against Rangers last week.

Mikael Lustig (RB)

At right-back, we expect Mikael Lustig to continue. The Swedish international is a constant figure in the defence for Celtic and don’t expect it to change for Sunday.

Jozo Simunovic (CB)

At the heart of the defence, we believe there could be a change with Jozo Simunovic in for a return to the playing XI in the place of Dedryck Boyata.

Erik Sviatchenko (CB)

And alongside Simunovic will be the ever-present and the ever so reliable Erik Sviatchenko. Was poor against Rangers last week, but will be hoping to put in a better display.

Kieran Tierney (LB)

Completing the defensive line at left-back will the young Kieran Tierney. The full-back has been a revelation this season and we expect him to continue his good run on Sunday.

Callum McGregor (CM)

In the middle of the park, we could be in for a change. In place of Nir Bitton, who was taken off with an injury scare against Rangers, we expect Callum McGregor to start.

Scott Brown (CM)

Alongside McGregor, we expect Scott Brown to take the field. The captain was Celtic’s best performer against Rangers and will look to keep the momentum going.

James Forrest (RW)

On the right-wing, we expect James Forrest to keep his place, after returning to the lineup against Rangers post an injury lay-off.

Stuart Armstrong (CAM)

Through the middle, it will be Stuart Armstrong, who had an excellent game last week scoring the only goal for Celtic.

Patrick Roberts (LW)

And on the left-hand side of the attacking trio, we expect a change, with Patrick Roberts coming in for Scott Sinclair who was highly ineffective last week.

Moussa Dembele (ST)

No prize money for guessing this one. He failed to score against the Gers but will be raring to go on Sunday.
