The 24-year-old hardly played any games after suffering an injury a few months back.
The midfielder’s absence was visible on many occasion as the Hoops lacked creativity over the course of that period.
Christie who is yet to feature under new caretaker manager Neil Lennon, dropped a hint on Instagram indicating his imminent return.
However, the 24-year-old will not be a part of Sunday’s Old Firm derby.
Christie had a wonderful run this season before he got hindered by the injury. He has bagged eight goals and provided four assists, and was a regular during Brendan Rodgers’ reign.
The midfielder joined the Park Head side back in 2015 from Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
He was then loaned Aberdeen before joining his parent club at the start of this season.
During his spell at the Dons, the Scottish winger turned out to be a successful prospect and received plaudits for his consistency.
Christie earned his maiden call-up for his nation’s senior squad in 2017.
The Hoops are leading the Premiership table ten points clear of their arch-rivals Rangers. With a host of players occupied with international duty, Lennon wants them to return in good shape ahead of Sunday’s clash with the Light Blues.
The Gers emerged victorious in this season’s reverse fixture.
