Celtic quick news: Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos linked with Celtic

Celtic quick news: According to the reports from The Sun, Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has been linked with the Celtic move.

Some bookies took to twitter to show their odds that the Colombian striker would sign for the Old Firm rivals. (h/t The Sun)

Earlier, Morelos expressed his desire to play for the bigger European clubs this summer.

As a result, the 22-year-old became a transfer target for many clubs such as Eintracht Frankfurt, Leicester City and RB Leipzig.

Later, the Colombian forward signed a contract extension with the Gers thus breaking all the transfer speculations.

Furthermore, Morelos earned the international call-up for the matches against Japan, South Korea later this summer.

The Colombian manager, Carlos Quieroz has called the Light Blues forward as the future of Colombian football.

Morelos has been in excellent form this season. He has amassed 28 goals across all competitions making him the top scorer for both the club and Premiership.

Contrarily,  the youngster is infamous for his on-field misconduct which has earned him four red cards and a three-match suspension till now.

Besides the antics, Morelos has always been the go-to-guy for Steven  Gerrard.  In fact, the Gers struggled a lot in replacing the Colombian during his absence and eventually lost points in the process.

The former HJK split player made his comeback in the Scottish Cup game against Hibernian where he went on to score four goals.

However, Aberdeen hindered the semifinal hopes of the Gers by beating them 2-0 at Ibrox.
