Celtic FC news: Rodgers wants Burke to return quickly
With Europa league in the horizon, Brendan Rodgers hopes his star player Oliver Burke would return to action soon from injury (h/t Daily Record).
Ever since the Scottish youngster joined the Hoops, he has grown in stature at Celtic Park.
Though he has been given a few starts, it was enough for the on-loan winger to make his mark. He has four goals under his belt in three appearances.
The game against St. Johnstone didn’t make faze him as he set up two goals for his team-mates. Unfortunately, the youngster also picked up an injury in the tie.
The Celtic manager is keen on Burke’s return from what seems to be a minor ankle injury ahead of Thursday’s Europa League clash against Valencia.
Valencia should not be taken lightly by the Hoops, even though the Spanish side have struggled in the league.
Callum McGregor is another player who has received the vote of confidence from Rodgers. The midfielder has made 50 appearances this season, the most by any Celtic player.
