Celtic FC News: According to the reports from The Sun, Brendan Rodgers is looking to raid Kieran Tierney of Celtic.
The left-back who goes by the value £25million(h/t The Sun) has become the latest target of Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund. Manchester City are also reportedly keeping an eye on the defender.
The report states the Hoops manager is set to battle with the German side if Tierney opts to move this summer.
Rodgers parted ways with the Scottish club and joined the Premier League side Leicester City.
Following the departure, the Hoops fans vented their frustration through a series of events.
A banner was held reading “You traded immortality for mediocrity. Never a Celt. Always a Fraud” during the Hearts clash followed by a video in which group of fans chanted I hope you die in your sleep Brendan Rodgers… with a bullet from the IRA.”
And it is also expected that acquisition of Tierney could further fuel the anger of the Park Head fans.
Tierney has made 31 appearances so far this season and has provided four assists.
The 21-year –old has become the first choice left back for Scotland beating the likes of Liverpool’s Andy Robertson.
Neil Lennon has been appointed as the new caretaker manager of the Hoops till the end of the season.
Lennon who had previously managed the Hoops led his side to two wins and a draw since taking the charge.
They are slated to face Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup semi-finals after the Dons thrashed Rangers last night.
