Bain, 27, has been a regular for the Bhoys after January, garnering amazing stats.

He has kept 18 clean sheets, conceding only 7 goals in 24 appearances this season across all competitions, making him a productive No 1.

Speaking ahead of the Aberdeen clash, the Scots’ shot-stopper said that he had studied from watching Ter Stegen’s videos.

“We were watching videos of Ter Stegen at Barcelona today,  in terms of how he plays from the back, and how calm and precise he is on the ball.

“On a different level, it’s Barcelona.

He also added that the German international is one of the best in the world.

Ter Stegen has never ceased to give his best to the La Liga table leaders, despite being out of favour to Manuel Neuer for the national team.

Bain also added that learning from such videos would benefit him in every game.

The former Alloa Athletic man said he also faces similar sort of challenges in Scotland.

He further mentioned Gigi Buffon and Iker Casillas as the ones who inspired him when he was young and Craig Gordon in particular.

Neil Lennon, the interim manager, would look to extend his winning run in Sunday’s Scottish Cup clash.

He added that the Dons couldn’t be taken for granted as they impose a serious threat for all the sides in the league.

The Bhoys hold an impressive record in the domestic Cup, as they have gone unbeaten for 29 matches.
