Burke, who was signed on loan from West Bromwich Albion, has been a revelation for Brendan Rodgers’ side this season.

The forward has scored three goals in just six appearances in the Scottish Premiership.

Being constantly backed by the manager, the on-loan winger didn’t take long to find his groove.

However, the youngster’s debut in the Europa League didn’t go as expected way as the Hoops suffered a defeat against Valencia at Celtic Park.

Following the game, Rodgers admitted his side’s blunders and said the Spanish side rightly deserved the victory.

Now ahead of the game against the Spaniards in the second leg, Burke shared his thoughts on the clash (h/t Birmingham Mail):

“It is definitely about pride. We have to go there and show we are capable and show what we can do.

“Fingers crossed we can get a result and then see what happens.”

The Scottish forward shared his experience on the Europa League debut as he felt very privileged in front of the home supporters.

The latter expressed his regret on the result of the game and believes that Celtic would play better in the second leg.

On talking about the opponents, Burke told (h/t Birmingham Mail)

“It was a really tough night. I was gutted, really. Credit to them, they are a good side and they played very well.

“But we know can do much better than the other night. It was so disappointing but we need to focus on the return and hopefully, we can get a result.

Burke received his international call earlier this month and he is set to play for Scotland in next month’s Euro 2020 qualifiers.

The Scottish club are unbeaten in the Premiership this year and extended their winning run as they edged Kilmarnock in injury time.
