Celtic FC News: Celtic interested in Che Adams of Birmingham

Celtic FC News: According to the Mirror (h/t Daily Record), Celtic are interested in Birmingham player Che Adams.

Che Adams has been watched by various clubs

The English forward has been a star performer this season scoring 19 goals from 32 games in the Championship.

Alongside Celtic, Premier League giants like Manchester United and Arsenal have also scouted the forward at St. Andrews last week.

The Blues signed Adams back in 2016 for a three-year deal. The 22-year-old has made a big impact this season for his side unlike his first two.

Playing style

Adams is often deployed as a forward or a midfielder and has the knack of scoring goals with his former manager Kevin Wilson described him as a game changer (h/t BBC).

A glimpse from history

Having spent most of his youth career at Coventry City, Adams was brought into prominence when Sheffield United signed him in 2014. He was able to score eleven goals in 47 appearances before he was snapped up by the Blues.

Difficulties

As per the reports (h/t The Daily Record), the Championship club is seeking a big amount for their prospect as they look unhinged amidst the interests. Birmingham refused offers from Burnley in the January transfer window.

Interested clubs would not be able to succeed unless their bid is around the eight-figure mark. Moreover, it would be tough for Brendan Rodgers to lure Adams to his side going against the Premier League clubs.
