Bye bye Lookman? – 2 ideal replacements for the Everton speed demon including Wolves star

Two ideal replacements for Ademola Lookman who Everton can sign

According to reports, RB Leipzig are trying their best to keep hold of Ademola Lookman, who was on loan at the Bundesliga club last season, from Everton.

Leipzig have seen their £12million bid for the winger rejected but the German club is expected to return with a better offer. Marco Silva, the new Everton coach, is keen to keep the talented youngster at the club but might entertain an acceptable offer from the interested party.

Let’s take a look at two possible replacements who could effectively replace Ademola Lookman in case Everton sell him to Leipzig.

Diogo Jota

A star player in a campaign which saw Wolves get promoted to the English Premier League, Jota represents a good replacement for Lookman. The talented Portuguese is a tricky winger who does it all, from dribbling to scoring.

Diogo Jota

Jota scored a total of 18 goals and got 5 assists with Wolves and his 2017/18 campaign was a big success. The importance and impact of Jota at Wolves can be recognised by the fact that he started every single game in the season, except one.

Jota is a player who is known for good passing and dribbling ability. The former Atletico Madrid player can be seen threading a through ball or taking on players often. Last season, Jota averaged an impressive 2.4 dribbles per match along with 1.2 key passes. Other than his ability with the ball at his feet, Diogo is an able finisher.

Steven Bergwijn

Steven Bergwijn, who plays for PSV Eindhoven, is an emerging name from the Eredivisie in the Netherlands. Bergwijn is a right-footed inverted winger who loves to play on the left wing.

The Dutch youngster likes to cut inside from the left to come onto his right foot before passing or shooting. Bergwijn is a capable dribbler who feels comfortable while taking on players and can also carve open a defence with his vision.

Steven Bergwijn

Bergwijn had a good season with PSV where he scored 8 goals and assisted 7. The youngster showcased his dribbling and passing ability over the season as he averaged 2.3 dribbles and 1.8 key passes per game to help the cause of his team. Bergwijn also has a good long-range shot in him and he can surprise the goalkeeper if the chance presents itself.
