Bruce to make 1 big change – Predicted 4-4-2 Aston Villa line-up to face Norwich City

Predicted Aston Villa Line-up To Face Norwich City In The EFL Championship

Aston Villa cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory against Reading on Tuesday night to end their run of 3 matches without a win. Steve Bruce will know that the race for automatic promotion is nearly over and that they will have no chance of bridging the 5 point gap to Cardiff in second place if they slip up again.

The team looked very impressive against Reading but it will be a very different challenge when they travel to East Anglia to face a strong Norwich side. Norwich are only playing for pride but the fans would love to give a high flying side like Villa a bloody nose.

Probable Aston Villa XI

Formation: 4-4-2

GK – Sam Johnstone

The on-loan Manchester United player has been excellent for Villa this season and no doubt Steve Bruce will be trying to take him from his old club permanently.

LB – Neil Taylor

Taylor is by far the best quality left-back at Villa at the moment and although Alan Hutton has covered there in recent weeks, the fans will be happy that Taylor is back in place.

CB – James Chester

The Wales International James Chester has been a part of a very strong defensive unit for Villa this season that has grown as the season has gone on.

Ahmed Elmohamady

CB – John Terry

The former England captain is an important figure at the club and is a certain starter.

RB – Ahmed Elmohamady

The experienced right-back is so good going forward that the Norwich defence might be busy watching him more than some of Villa’s attacking players.

LM – Jack Grealish

With Johnathan Kodjia coming back into the team, Grealish may find himself being stationed on the wing, but very much with the licence to roam.

CM – Birkir Bjarnason

The Icelandic defensive midfielder scored a lovely goal against Reading but is more commonly known for his defensive strength.

CM – Conor Hourihane

The Republic of Ireland player is capable of creating a moment of brilliance when he wants to. If he gets space, he will punish Norwich.

Jonathan Kodjia
Jonathan Kodjia

RM – Robert Snodgrass

The on-loan West Ham player provided two wonderful assists against Reading and is always capable of putting good deliveries into the box.

ST – Johnathan Kodjia

After two 20-minute cameos against Reading and Hull, it should be time to unleash Kodjia from the start.

ST – Scott Hogan

Hogan plays well in streaks and after scoring against Reading, he will be hoping to start a scoring run.
