Midfielder Lucas Biglia is still being linked with a move to Manchester United, as the reports regarding his potential move to Old Trafford won’t just go away in Italy. The 29-year-old defensive midfielder is not what Louis van Gaal exactly needs for his side right now and hence the reports coming in were being ignored by many, from the start.
Gazzetta Dello Sport also stated around a week ago that the Red Devils were keen on signing Biglia, prior to the signing of Sch-Midfield and their interest in the Argentine international had since then died down and the club were not interested anymore.
The report further added that the Premier League giants had made a bid of around €25m, which was refused by his current club Lazio and then had on to sign their other midfield targets.
However, on Saturday the same newspaper added that the Dutch manager’s side had returned to sign the superstar, with a €30m(£21.3m) offer made for his services, though the Serie A club were demanding €40m.
Whether a deal goes through or not, remains to be seen, though United have plenty of midfield options at the moment, it would seem.
