Chelsea are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign 16-year-old Juan Familia Castillo right under Manchester United’s nose.
According to the reports, Manchester United has been watching Castillo since 2014 after spotting him playing in a youth international for Holland. Further , it was reported that the player was on the verge of completing a move to the United after having required talks with the academy coaches.
However, things did not turn out as smooth for United as interim boss Guus Hiddink took things into his hands and changed the deal wherein the player will now be moving to the Stamford Bridge, according to the Daily Mail. The Daily further states that Chelsea should be able to complete the deal within few weeks time.
Castillo plays as a central midfielder, and he can also play on the left-wing. The youngster was one of the many players who left Ajax after Wim Jonk left the club from the post of the Academy coach earlier this season.
Chelsea are further looking out for Fulham striker Moussa Dembele.
