Brighton winning the race for this highly-rated West Brom talent would secure their future in a key position

Brighton opinion: Seagulls in for Rayhaan Tulloch – Good move?

According to a report in Daily Mail, Brighton are one of the few clubs interested in signing West Brom youngster Rayhaan Tulloch during this transfer window.

The Baggies have seen a number of young players leaving them in the recent past. And they are fearing that Tulloch could follow that suit, with interest coming from clubs in the Premier League. (h/t Daily Mail)

Along with Brighton, European champions Liverpool, Premier League champions Manchester City and Championship side Swansea City are also in the race to sign the youngster. (h/t Daily Mail)

Tulloch has played first-team football for West Brom in the FA Cup. He is on the right track to get installed into the regular team in the coming season under new manager Slaven Bilic. However, interests from other clubs have deterred things to some extent. (h/t Daily Mail)

Here’s why Brighton should beat others in this race to sign the youngster:

Tulloch could improve their youth team and be one for the future

Predominantly a second striker who can play as a centre-forward, Rayhan Tulloch is capable of playing as a winger on both sides if required by the team.

The England U18 international played 16 games in the Premier League 2 last season and scored two goals and assisted a further two. He has played for the West Brom U18s and U23s and impressed in both levels.

Hence, as mentioned above, he is been considered to get installed into the senior team for the coming season.

In terms of his attributes, Tulloch is a rapid forward who has the ability to stretch the opposition defence with his pace. He is a good dribbler of the ball while being lethal in and around the opposition box. Also, he is physically strong and can link up play very well.

At such a tender age, the youngster has loads of good things in his game, which is a positive sign.

Thus, Brighton should take the punt and sign him this summer. He would improve their youth team and be a prospect for their senior team is due course of time.

All in all, we can conclude by saying that the Seagulls shouldn’t hesitate in stepping ahead and making a move to sign Rayhaan Tulloch from West Brom as that would help them build a strong future.
