Why Alexis Mac Allister could perfectly fit Hughton’s Brighton

Brighton and Hove Albion will be quite happy with the way their season has panned out so far. They are comfortably slotted at 13th position on the table with 26 points on the board. They are 8 points away from the relegation zone, which will be a massive relief to the Brighton fans.

Just five wins away from the magic number of 40 points, Chris Hughton will now be looking to get his side as high up the table as possible. With a top-half finish still on the cards, they can use the rest of the season to work out new tactics and strengthen the squad.

Since their promotion, Brighton have developed into a strong side who aren’t easy to beat at home. Some of their players have even been attracting interest from England’s biggest clubs. According to a report by the Metro, Liverpool are interested in Brighton winger Pascal Gross with a £15m bid on the cards.

Brighton are currently just 5 points behind 7th-placed Watford so unless the Seagulls fall apart in the coming weeks, they don’t look like a relegation-threatened team.

One worry for Chris Hughton will be that they have only scored 24 goals so far in the season and in a situation like that, the threat of losing some of your best players might be a tricky issue to address in January.

But January is also the perfect opportunity for Brighton to do something about making some inspiring signings. With Brighton already linked with Bristol City midfielder Josh Brownhill according to Bristol Post, they must look at more options for that attacking midfield position as well.

According to reports from Tutto Mercato, Brighton have recognised Argentinos Juniors attacking midfielder Alexis Mac Allister as a possible signing. The Argentine attacker is just 20 years old but is already touted to have a massive future.

He came through the Argentinos academy and has developed into an excellent player for the side. His sharp turns and powerful running have been crucial to the team for a while now. He has played 9 league games this season and scored 3 times.

He is an adept dribbler who is a very big threat on the counter-attack. His pace and quick movement make it almost impossible to take the ball off his feet.

While he holds bags of power in his feet as well, his finesse and class while on the ball make him a top player who could set the Premier League on fire in the months to come. This could be a very positive move for Chris Hughton and one that could push them towards the top half of the table.
