Alexandre Pato’s move to Brazil has finally come true. He has said goodbye to Milan after he was sold to Corinthians in a €15 million transfer earlier today.
“I want to salute, but above all, to thank everyone, right from the President to the many people I worked with at Milan in these unforgettable years in Milano.
I’m going to Brazil, to Corinthians, so that I will have the possibility of playing consistently. However, it won’t be easy to forget Milan.”
“I am and I will always been emotionally attached to the Milan shirt, its colors and all the Milan fans. Above all, at this moment my thoughts and my biggest thanks go to them.
– Alexandre Rodrigues da Silva.”

Pato will undergo the mandatory medical check-ups in the next few days before signing a contract which is expected to tie him to Corinthians until the 30th of June 2017. Pato has decided to take 40% of any future sale instead of taking the sign-on fee. Corinthians have the remaining 60%. Silvio Berlusconi has revealed that Pato has promised him that he will return to Milan in 2 or 3 years time.
Alexandre Pato joined Milan in August 2007 from Internacional in a €22 million deal. He played 150 matches for Milan and scored 63 goals.
